Nvidia has released another “Hotfix driver” to address RTX 50 GPU issues, including a nasty black screen issue.
I hope Nvidia’s latest V572.75 driver eliminates the black screen that crashes on the RTX 50 GPU
The RTX Blackwell lineup is one of Nvidia’s most hassle-to-have launches, given that despite having been in the retail market for about a month, the GPU has been experiencing all sorts of issues, ranging from poor performance due to lack of ROP. It certainly is a roller coaster ride. However, Team Green is trying to address all the issues and now using the new HotFix driver, the company has solved two different issues with the RTX 50 GPU.
GeForce Hotfix display driver version 572.75 is based on the latest game-enabled driver 572.70.
(GeForce RTX 5080/5090) Graphics cards cannot run at full speed when rebooting when overclocking (5088034) (GeForce RTX 50 series) GeForce RTX 50 series GPUS crash
The first issue is specific to the GEFORCE RTX 5080/RTX 5090, and is said to cause an overclocked GPU to not reach its full potential when a system restart occurs. We have not seen any reports of users facing this issue, so it may be that it was internally identified by Nvidia or has not emerged in the media. The second issue that is said to be addressed is the black screen issue, and it appears that Nvidia’s previous solution is not working.

A few days ago, users reported that despite the new driver released by Nvidia, users are still facing issues with black screens with Frame-Gen titles. So this hotfix may have solved the problem, but for now I am unsure. Users are advised to update to the latest HotFix display driver as it could resolve black screens that many users crash.
