
The University of Arkansas, Little Rock welcomes a group of Argentina’s leading artificial intelligence (AI) entrepreneurs for its special high-tech launch event on March 4th, providing insights into the future of artificial intelligence and its real-world business applications.
“Argentina is quickly becoming a leader in AI innovation, driving the future of AI-powered business transformation that has driven AI,” said Marla Johnson, a resident of UA Little Rock’s high-tech company China. “From streamlining operations, rethinking knowledge management to creating new revenue opportunities, these companies are redefineing the real impact of AI.”
The event will be held at the McCarty Auditorium of the Engineering and Information Technology Building, Lexicon’s Shuk, featuring presentations and panel discussions with experts from AI-driven companies Serrara and Possumus, followed by a networking reception at the Art + Design Windgate Centre.
The programme begins with a keynote speech at 1:30pm. Zubair Talib is an AI expert with a background in MIT and executive director of Celara Labs, exploring what AI will be next in 2025.
“Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming industries around the world and we are excited to bring international experts to campus and share knowledge with students, faculty and business community,” said Dr. Brian Berry, Vice President of Research at UA Little Rock, Little Rock Technology Park board member. “This event is an incredible opportunity to learn from international experts on the cutting edge of AI innovation.”
The 3pm panel discussion, “Investing in AI,” dives into the trends in AI investment, examining how companies are consolidating AI-first products and identifying new business opportunities. Talibs appear on the panel. Federico Tagliani, Managing Director of Poshumus. Pablo Abdian, CEO and co-founder of Celera Labs.
“Serala and Possums are at the forefront of AI investment, building strong AI teams and identifying new opportunities,” Johnson said. “Their first-hand experience provides valuable insight into the future of AI investments and what really drives impact.”
Following the discussion, participants will be invited to the reception at 4:30pm at the Windgate Centre, where they can visit visiting entrepreneurs, networks with industry leaders, art galleries and enjoy Argentinean wine and snacks.
