Mizuho expects nvidia to report “growthing pain”
Mizuho analysts said they hope Nvidia will report “inline” revenue reports, but also hope for “growth pain.”
“Our checks show that JANQ DC is expected inline, but given the power/cooling requirements of the GB200, Aprilq could be flattered as the recent lamp remains modest,” Mizuho said in a memo last week.
DC refers to Nvidia’s data center revenue, covering GPU chip sales.
For Mizuho, the focus is on the second half of the year as they hope that the “strong” Blackwell Ramp will compensate for the lost income in the first half of the year.
“We are continuing to drive strong industry leadership in the CUDA ecosystem, and have strong relationships with our customers, along with our integrated HW platform,” Mizuho added that he expects major customers Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet to purchase Blackwell GPUs later this year.
Mizuho rates nvidia with “outperform” with a price target of $175.
