Austin – Governor Greg Abbott announced that a $2,400,000 second Texas Semichem Innovation Fund (TSIF) grant will be donated to Dongjin Semichem Texas, Inc. for Killeen’s Specialist Chemicals and Materials Facilities. We have announced that it has been expanded to (“DST”). New employment and capital investments of over $110 million. Governor Abbott signed the Texas Chips Act in 2023, establishing the TSIF and the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Consortium (TSIC).
“Texas is where chips were born and where the future of the semiconductor industry is being built,” Gov. Abbott said. “Dongjin Semichem Texas’s Killeen specialist chemical and materials facility will further expand the US semiconductor supply chain with the first ultra-high-quality photoresist thinner produced in Texas. Protect. Thanks to companies like DST, Texas partners with businesses and entrepreneurs to develop innovative new technologies and build a stronger and more prosperous Texas than ever before. It will continue to be number one in the
“TSIC is proud to be able to award this grant to a powerful semiconductor company. It has a well-established presence in Texas and will help you win Texas’ status as a leader in the semiconductor industry. “DST’s presence in Killeen is driving Texas leadership and creating good paying jobs while ensuring a critical domestic supply chain.”

DST, a subsidiary of Dongjin USA Inc., specializes in photoresist thinners, which are important for photolithography processes within semiconductor chip manufacturing. Dongjin’s thinner is necessary to produce cutting-edge chips in high-performance computing, 5G, AI, automotive, aerospace and defense applications. The DST facility will replace foreign sources with special thinners produced domestically in Texas for the first time in Texas, strengthening the US supply of this critical material for advanced semiconductors. The facility will include six buildings that house key functions, including raw materials and products storage, manufacturing, production and analysis, utility services, raw materials, waste disposal, office space and dedicated security buildings.
“Dongjin Semichem Texas, Inc. expresses a sincere appreciation to Governor Abbott, staff from the Governor’s Office, and the Executive Committee of the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Consortium for awarding a $2.4 million grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund. “We’ll do that.” Dongjin Semichem Co., Ltd. Dongjin Semichem Texas, Inc., vice-chairman and CEO of the company. Dr. Chun Hyuk Lee, director of the company. “This funding will help DST encourage the expansion of its Killeen facility, where we will manufacture ultra-high-quality photoresist thinner, a key material for advanced semiconductor photolithography processes. With over 30 years of leadership in semiconductor materials manufacturing, Dongjin is committed to supporting the growth and innovation of the semiconductor industry in central Texas. The grant brings the region’s position as a hub for semiconductor excellence. It represents an important step in strengthening.”
“The semiconductor industry is the backbone of modern economic innovation and is committed to continuing to be a top destination for businesses looking to invest in cutting-edge technology,” Senator Pete Flores said. Masu. “This grant further strengthens our reputation as a research, development and manufacturing hub in the semiconductor field, while improving good work opportunities and quality of life for families. Dongjin Semichem Texas, Inc. We would like to express our sincere congratulations and look forward to seeing the positive impact this facility has on the Killeen community and beyond.”
“Dongjin Semichem Texas is a key and respected member of the Killeen community and we are grateful to Governor Abbott and the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Consortium for awarding this grant,” said President Brad Buckley. It states. “This investment will drive the economic engine for West Bell County and support DST’s critical work and impact on the Texas economy. This expansion means great for businesses in Lone Star.”
