Paris – The leading world political leaders meet for the AI summit in Paris. There, challenging diplomatic talks are expected while technological Titans fight for dominance in the rapidly moving technology industry.
The state chief, top government officials, CEOs and scientists from around 100 countries have been taking part in the two-day international summit starting Monday.
Famous attendees include US Vice President JD Vance, Vice Prime Minister Zhang Guoqing, on his first overseas trip since taking office.
“We live in a technology and a scientific revolution that we rarely see,” French President Emmanuel Macron said on Sunday in France 2 across France.
France and Europe need to seize “opportunities.” Because AI “can “live better, learn better, work better, and care better.
The summit will give some European leaders the opportunity to meet Vance for the first time. The 40-year-old vice president was just 18 months after being a senator in Ohio when Donald Trump chose him as a running mate.
On Tuesday, Vance will host a lunch to work with Macron, where they will discuss the menu in Ukraine and the Middle East.
Vance, like President Donald Trump, questioned spending on Ukraine and his approach to isolating Russian President Vladimir Putin. Trump has pledged to end the battle within six months of taking office.
Vance will be attending a security conference in Munich later this week, where he will be able to meet Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelensky. The Vice President was joined by his wife Usha and three children, Ewan, Vivek and Mirabel, for a trip to Europe.
European leaders have been carefully looking at Trump’s recent statement on the threat of imposing tariffs on the European Union. His proposal that Palestinians are clearing Gaza after Greenland’s rule and the battle in the Israeli-Hama conflict ends – Arab allies.
The summit, which brings together key players such as Google, Microsoft, Openai, aims to promote AI advancements in sectors such as health, education, the environment, and culture.
A global public-private partnership named “Current AI” will be launched to support large-scale initiatives that serve public interest.
“We’re excited to see the world’s efforts to help people understand how we’re doing,” said Linda Griffin, Mozilla’s vice president of public policy. “I see it as a standard setting moment.”

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has co-hosted a summit with Macron to involve more global stakeholders in AI development and prevent the sector from becoming a fight between the US and China.
India’s Foreign Secretary, Vikram Mithri, stressed the need for fair access to AI to avoid “perpetuating the digital disparities already present around the world.”
Macron will travel with Modi to the southern urban port of Marseille on Wednesday, opening a new Indian consulate and visiting the ITER nuclear research site.
France will become India’s main defence partner, and talks are underway on purchasing 26 Lafale fighters and three Sasol Pen submarines. Officials in New Delhi said the debate was in the final stages and the deal could be inked in a few weeks.
