The idea of artificial intelligence scares me. First of all, I don’t understand that. I will never do it. I never want to.
As more and more people are leaning towards technology and relying completely hopelessly, I am eager to take a step back. I find comfort outdoors and always have it. ai certainly can’t find me there unless I want it…and I don’t want it!
I recognize the fact that businesses in this country rely on advances in technology. Our country could not run without it. Not only are you even texting text in a few days, you’re probably guilty of using it excessively. Texting is one of the most passively invasive distractions in our lives. It separates us from our daily work many times. Still, I cannot live without it. I see it as a necessary evil in our society, but I’m still trying to push it back. Again, the outdoors run away to me.
Text messaging is one thing, is it artificial intelligence?
The use of AI is growing rapidly. It’s too fast. (It’s my blood pressure.) And while there are many things AI can (and shouldn’t), there are so many that it can’t, and never can. Is that honest? Is there any honor? Is there integrity? It definitely has no emotion.
If you’re reading this now, you’re probably enjoying the outdoors. What can AI do to enhance your outdoor experience? I think it can help your outdoor quests, but it cannot live them for you. There is no doubt that some gadgets will help you put you in more fish or deer, turkey, or games you are chasing, but the thrill is the one that creates our true human emotions, It comes from real experience combining it with things you can’t. They are given to us by God alone. ai can’t do that.
I always write about the “giants” of my life. “I’m taller because I stand on the Giants’ shoulders,” that’s the phrase I look back on every day. As you can imagine, my titan is not a robot. My giants are real, living, breathing humans who are driven by the Holy Spirit of God at their core. Those are the people I want to follow…the people who have made me a better man. Those who encourage me to grow my faith in Christ.
I always say that… Gon is full of these giants (not robots).
For days now, we just want something real instead of this computerized world we are trapped in. Well, Gon is the real thing. It is a real organization of real members with real experience. Gon is made up of a group of outstanding people with honesty, honor, integrity and certainly emotion. (Downing will result in my blood pressure.) Hey, artificial intelligence, can you compete with that?
All of a sudden, AI doesn’t scare me so badly.
Andrew graduated from UGA’s Veterinary School in 2006 and in 2010. His passion for fishing and the outdoors began as a young boy who spent time with his grandfather at Lake Oconey. Now he enjoys telling his two young boys what he has learned at his home on the Arapaha River. Turkey hunting and South Georgia River fishing are one of his favorite entertainments, but his main interest is to mentor children outdoors, spreading the words of Jesus. Andrew hopes to discover joy and power in writing and benefit others through his words.
