Education Minister Yoav Kish has declared 2025 the year of artificial intelligence to revolutionize education through cutting-edge technology, the ministry announced on Wednesday.
This initiative aims to provide essential AI knowledge to students and educators and enhance teaching, learning, and management by incorporating AI tools into teaching and assessment processes.
The Ministry has developed specialized teacher training programs and innovative lesson plans to make AI accessible to students and teachers from all backgrounds and age groups in Israeli society. The ministry sees artificial intelligence as a tool to empower educators and create more personalized learning experiences tailored to the needs of individual students.
To ensure the success of this program, the ministry has partnered with thousands of leaders in Israel’s high-tech sector and forged collaborative relationships with global high-tech giants such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Intel. . Training sessions for teachers introducing AI tools and their practical applications have already begun.
As part of this program, the Ministry of Education will host an event with Google on January 7 titled “AI Connect for Education.” Thousands of students, educators, and supervisors will participate and gain hands-on experience with generative AI tools for use in the classroom.
