Monthly sales in November hit a record high. Global chip sales increased 1.6% month-on-month
WASHINGTON—January 7, 2025—The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today announced that global semiconductor sales reached $57.8 billion in November 2024. This was a 20.7% increase compared to the November 2023 total of $47.9 billion and a 1.6% increase compared to the October 2024 total. 56.9 billion dollars. Monthly sales are compiled by the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics (WSTS) organization and represent a three-month moving average. SIA accounts for 99% of the U.S. semiconductor industry by revenue and almost two-thirds of non-U.S. semiconductor companies.
“The global semiconductor market continued to see strong growth in November, with monthly sales increasing for the eighth consecutive month and reaching a record monthly increase,” said John Neufer, President and CEO of SIA.
