The launch of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 GPU is just hours away from now, and we’re looking at some new leaks. Here are the first photos of the Gainward GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, as posted by @wxnod. GPU Box confirms that the card comes with 16GB GDDR7 memory and comes with a 3-year warranty.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB graphics card
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card is based on a PG144/147-SKU45 PCB and includes a GB203-400-A1 GPU die. The card fully utilizes the GB203 GPU die with 84 SMs and 10,752 cores, which is a significant -51% reduction compared to the RTX 5090. For comparison, the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 had a -40% difference in core count. Therefore, the overall performance will vary significantly.
Other than that, the RTX 5080 is also expected to feature half a VRAM configuration with 16 GB capacity running on a 256-bit bus interface while utilizing GDDR7 modules. This graphics card features the fastest GDDR7 memory on the market, delivering 1024 GB/s or 1 TB/s total bandwidth at speeds up to 32 Gbps. The graphics card will have a 360W TBP. That’s a 12.5% increase in power wall compared to the RTX 4080 SUPER’s 320W, but again, the actual numbers should be very different.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be the fastest GPUs in the lineup and are expected to be available by the end of January or early February. Stay tuned for more information on the next-gen lineup at CES 2025 in the coming weeks.
