NVIDIA will reportedly unveil its next-generation “Blackwell Ultra” AI lineup at the GTC conference next March, setting the stage for the next phase of AI.
NVIDIA’s B300 and GB300 AI products with cutting-edge performance and high TDP will be announced by March 2025
For those who don’t know, Team Green is expected to launch a Blackwell generation successor in just a few months from now, although a specific release date has not yet been officially announced. According to a report in Taiwan Economic Daily, NVIDIA’s GTC 2025 will mark the debut of its next-generation AI architecture. The “Blackwell Ultra” or B300 series is rumored to offer significant performance improvements compared to their Hopper and Blackwell counterparts. Taiwan’s supply chain is said to have already begun preparations for the next lineup.
As for the specs for the Blackwell Ultra, NVIDIA is rumored to be planning to focus on power numbers this time around, as the GB300 AI server is expected to feature a TDP of up to 1400W, which is in line with other servers. This is a significant increase in comparison. Blackwell GB200 is 1000W. The architecture upgrade is expected to improve FP4 performance by approximately 1.4x compared to the previous generation, which is a tremendous improvement.
Other improvements include an increase in memory capacity from 192 GB to 288 GB by effectively utilizing the 12-Hi stack of HBM3E technology. Given that NVIDIA hasn’t explicitly mentioned a Blackwell Ultra release so far, we don’t have a specific release date yet, but with a “one-year cycle” in mind, we’re looking at a 2025 timeline for the B300. We are anticipating the fourth quarter. However, this may change given how market demand changes over time.
Foxconn and Quanta are set to be the largest suppliers of NVIDIA’s GB300 AI servers, and the companies are said to have already started the research and development process for this architecture. It is claimed that Team Green will completely switch to “liquid cooling” and given that Foxconn has sufficient expertise to ensure consistent production of Team Green’s AI products, NVIDIA’s next generation That is why it is said to be the biggest beneficiary for AI servers. .
The “Blackwell Ultra” lineup represents the next stage of NVIDIA’s “AI Gold Rush,” and demand will undoubtedly be at its highest given the increased computational power expected in new AI products.
