The memory speeds will be even faster than what the RTX 5090 brings, with about 43% more bandwidth than the RTX 4080 has. There were also rumors recently that the 5080 would come in a 24 GB version, or another edition offering 3 GB per module. However, the launch version will only have 16 GB VRAM.
