We were the first Ray-Ban Meta Glassesso popular that until recently, stores had a hard time keeping it in stock. Since it was first introduced, people have shared millions of moments with friends and family.
Whether you’re exploring a new city, catching the eye at a sporting event, or simply trying to be more active in your daily life, Ray-Ban Meta glasses are the perfect companion to help you experience the world, share your perspective, and capture the moment — completely hands-free. And now we’re adding new AI capabilities, expanding partnerships, and more.
Improved AI features
First, it makes it easier to talk to Meta AI: Once you start a conversation with “Hey Meta” and ask your first question, you can ask follow-up questions without having to say “Hey Meta” again. You also won’t have to say “Look.” Ask Meta AI about what you see.
We’re adding memory aids to your glasses. Next time you’re flying somewhere, you won’t have to panic at the airport because you forgot where you parked. Your glasses will remember where your long-term parking spot is. You can also use your voice to set a reminder to text your mom in three hours once you’ve safely landed.
You can now ask Meta AI to record and send audio messages on WhatsApp or Messenger, which is especially useful when your hands are full or you don’t have easy access to your phone to type a text.
We’re adding video to Meta AI to give you ongoing, real-time support. While you’re exploring a new city, you can ask Meta AI to accompany you and ask about landmarks you see along the way and get ideas for what to see next to create your own hands-free walking tour. Or, while you’re trying to plan a meal at the grocery store, you can ask Meta AI to help you think about what to make based on what you see as you walk down the aisle and whether the sauce you have in your hand would pair well with the suggested recipe.
Soon, your glasses will be able to translate speech in real time. When you’re talking to someone who speaks Spanish, French, or Italian, you’ll hear what they’re saying in English through the glasses’ open-ear speakers. Not only is this great for traveling, it helps break down language barriers and bring people closer together. We plan to add support for even more languages in the future to make this feature even more useful.
Expanding partnerships to make glasses more convenient and fun
We are partnered Be my eyesis a free app that connects blind and low vision people with sighted volunteers, allowing the volunteers to talk to them about what is in front of them. Thanks to the glasses and POV video calling, volunteers can easily see your point of view, communicate what is going on around them, and provide hands-free, real-time assistance with everyday tasks like adjusting the thermostat or sorting and reading your mail.
Additionally, we are in the process of integrating with the following companies: Spotify and Amazon Musicand adding new partnerships audible and iHeartUse your voice to search, discover, and play content on the go: ask to play by song, artist, album, or audiobook. You can also get more information about the content playing on your glasses (“Hey Meta, what album is this from?”).
