Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock rose for the second day in a row on Friday, rising 4.45% (6.16 points) to close at $144.47 per share.
Investors bought up the company’s stock ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10, analysts said.
Artificial intelligence is expected to be a major theme at the show, with NVDA founder and CEO Jensen Huang expected to introduce AI chips such as desktop graphics processing units.
Nvidia (NVDA) has been the go-to provider of powerful server processors for AI applications since the current generative AI boom began with the release of ChatGPT chatbot from OpenAI in November 2022.
Overall, NVDA ranks 11th on the list of technology, energy and aviation companies that led Friday’s rally.
