The agreement will see Accenture create an Nvidia business group focused on helping customers use and scale generative AI tools, the companies said in a statement Wednesday. Accenture has trained 30,000 professionals in the use of Nvidia technology to help customers quickly deploy and reap the benefits of Nvidia technology.
While Nvidia chips dominate the deployment of AI hardware, orders are coming primarily from a small number of owners of large data centers, including Microsoft Corp., Amazon.com Inc.’s AWS, and Alphabet Inc.’s Google. . Analysts and investors have expressed concern that tens of billions of dollars spent on new infrastructure have yet to generate economic returns to match the spending.
Nvidia is responding with a flurry of software, services and hardware that will make technology more accessible and valuable to a broader range of customers, all of which are being developed by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. The aim is to perpetuate what he calls a new industrial revolution.
Huang told CNBC that he views Accenture as a “connecting structure” between technology and customers. Huang said he and Accenture CEO Julie Sweet first conceived of the partnership about four months ago.
Nvidia’s CEO also gave an update on the company’s new Blackwell chip lineup. This lineup is currently in full production and is being completed as planned. There were concerns that production hurdles would delay product rollout.
“The demand for Blackwell is extraordinary,” he told CNBC. “Everyone wants to be the best, and everyone wants to be the best.”
Nvidia shares rose 1.6% in New York on Wednesday and were up more than 1% in extended trading after the remarks.
Accenture has already invested heavily in generative AI, launching a so-called AI refinery using Nvidia technology in July. This enables clients to build custom large-scale language models to power industry-aligned AI tools. The company attributed its most recent quarterly profit to strong demand for help implementing generative AI.
According to Lan Guan, Head of AI at Accenture, 9 out of 10 organizations recognize the impact of generative AI, but less than 10% still find a way to leverage it in their organization.
