Reliance Industries, among other major Indian companies, plans to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) processors from Nvidia Inc. (NASDAQ:NVDA). During an event in Mumbai, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed the partnership and talked about supplying Blackwell processors to a 1 GW data center that Reliance is developing in Gujarat. For other data centers, Nvidia will also supply Hopper AI chips to Tata Communications and Yotta Data Services.
Highlighting India’s potential in the AI field, Mr. Huang said, “India is likely to become an AI exporting country in the future. We have the basic elements, and we plan to expand them further.” The company’s influence in India is Nvidia’s partnership with Tech Mahindra to build a new AI platform, Indus 2.0, using Hindi AI models.
Other companies using Nvidia technology to train and implement artificial intelligence solutions include Wipro (NYSE:WIT) and Infosys (NYSE:INFY). These partnerships fit into Nvidia’s larger plans to deepen its relationship with India, as the country is positioned as a global center for AI growth.
