Neuberger Berman Senior Research Analyst Dan Flax appeared on Yahoo Finance Playbook with Market Domination hosts Julie Hyman and Josh Lipton to discuss how to weather the recent tech stock downturn.
Flax noted that Apple (AAPL) demonstrated at Monday’s event that it “can continue to innovate” and that “the developer community remains healthy” while “the user experience continues to change.” The analyst expects “growth to accelerate next year, helping to drive the stock price higher.”
Flax said that despite the short-term uncertainty caused by Blackwell’s delay, NVIDIA (NVDA) is positioned to benefit as cloud vendors such as Amazon (AMZN), Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) invest in artificial intelligence (AI). He said the key for NVIDIA is to “keep executing the product cycle.”
After Oracle (ORCL) shares surged after the company beat first-quarter revenue expectations, Flax noted positive feedback from Oracle’s cloud customers. The analyst expects “Oracle cloud growth to remain strong over the next few years,” but noted that “there will certainly be some variability from quarter to quarter.”
