AI helps Amazon buildings improve energy and water efficiency

The Amazon site onboards Flowms and BBAM has a strong improvement in energy efficiency. At a New York fulfillment center, Flowms detected that the building appears to be using five times more energy than other Amazon sites nearby. Employees discovered that the utility meter had been mismanaged, and the building actually used far less energy than the meter indicated. Also, in Spain, BBAM detected malfunctioning air conditioning units by comparing its cooling output with expected demand in real time based on weather conditions such as external temperatures. This early detection allowed the site management team to proactively address and resolve issues before employees were affected.
