I am here at the Healthcare Information Management Systems Association Conference held in Las Vegas. So far I’ve eaten Ton Soup, a sub-casino restaurant, watched a “postcard from Earth” show on the sphere, and spoke to many people about AI and interoperability in healthcare (for the latter, more in tomorrow’s Health Technology Newsletter).

I’ve been trying to get a pulse about how healthcare people think about AI. What is the difference between last year’s HIMSS and this year’s meeting? Last year, executives told me, people were waffling AI and worried about the technology trends against hallucinations. This year, it’s full speed.
