Editor’s note: This post is part of the AI Decoded series, which demystifies AI by making the technology more accessible and introduces new hardware, software, tools, and tools for GeForce RTX PC and NVIDIA RTX workstation users. Introducing acceleration.
NVIDIA and GeForce RTX GPUs are built for the age of AI.
RTX GPUs feature specialized AI Tensor Cores that can deliver over 1,300 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for cutting-edge performance in gaming, production, everyday productivity, and more. There are currently over 600 AI-powered games and apps accelerated by RTX.
RTX AI PC helps anyone start their AI journey and power their work.
Every RTX AI PC comes with regularly updated NVIDIA Studio drivers, fine-tuned in collaboration with developers to improve performance and maximize stability for top creative apps. Extensively tested to achieve this. Download the December Studio driver now.
Large-scale language models (LLMs) continue to grow in importance. This week we introduced two benchmarks that focus on LLM performance on various hardware. MLPerf Client v0.5 and Procyon AI text generation. These LLM-based benchmarks have been shown to accurately reproduce real-world performance in internal testing and are easy to run.
This holiday season, content creators can participate in the #WinterArtChallenge, which runs through February. Share your winter-themed art on Facebook, Instagram, or X with #WinterArtChallenge for a chance to be featured on NVIDIA Studio social media channels.
Advanced AI
As we cover in our AI Decoded blog series, with NVIDIA and GeForce RTX GPUs, AI improves everyday tasks and activities. For example, AI enables:
Increased creativity: Stable Diffusion allows users to quickly create and adjust images from text prompts to achieve the desired output. RTX GPUs can produce these results up to 2.2x faster than NPUs. Additionally, thanks to software optimizations using the NVIDIA TensorRT SDK, the applications used to run these models, such as ComfyUI, improved by an additional 60%.
Better games: NVIDIA DLSS technology uses AI to automatically generate pixels for video games, increasing frame rates and improving image quality. With continuous improvements such as ray reconstruction, DLSS delivers richer visual quality and enables more immersive gameplay.
Enhance entertainment: RTX Video Super Resolution uses AI to enhance videos by removing compression artifacts and sharpening edges while upscaling video quality. RTX Video HDR converts standard dynamic range video to vibrant high dynamic range for more vibrant and dynamic colors when streaming in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or VLC media player .
Increase productivity: The NVIDIA ChatRTX tech demo app connects large language models, such as Meta’s Llama, to your data, allowing you to quickly query notes, documents, or images. Free for RTX GPU owners, our custom chatbot provides fast, context-sensitive answers. It runs locally on Windows RTX PCs and workstations, so results are fast and private.
This snapshot of AI capabilities just scratches the surface of the technology’s potential. With NVIDIA or GeForce RTX GPU-powered systems, users can enhance their STEM learning and research and also take advantage of the NVIDIA Studio suite of AI-powered tools.
