Hanoi, Vietnam, October 3, 2024 (Globe Newswire) — On October 1, 2024, ATP Semiconductor Chip Engineer Training Center CT Semiconductor (a member of CT Group) was officially opened and the National Innovation Center (NIC ) started operation. ) Located in Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi.
NIC’s ATP Semiconductor Chip Engineer Training Center is part of CT Semiconductor’s broader activities, including three OSAT factories (two in the south and one in the north), two in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. This includes the establishment of an R&D center. Two customer service centers in Silicon Valley and Phoenix, Arizona.
Experienced engineers from various countries provide specialized training to key personnel through a “Train the Trainer” program focused on semiconductor chip assembly, testing, and packaging. These final year engineering and electronics students will develop the ability to master ATP technology. One important feature is that the interns get hands-on experience with the latest chip testing machines and become familiar with different types of chips.
This initiative will help realize the plan to develop 10 OSAT factories in Vietnam in line with the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 1018/QD-TTg outlining Vietnam’s semiconductor industry development strategy issued on September 21, 2024. This is a practical step towards achieving this goal.
What sets CT Semiconductor apart is its unique technology approach, with a comprehensive foundation starting with ATP specialist training serving OSAT companies, R&D, and production based on the 4.0 model. On this occasion, CT Semiconductor also introduced an AMB5600 semiconductor circuit and component testing machine to support research and training at the center. This is the first chip inspection machine incorporated into Vietnam’s training system.
CT Semiconductor leaders said, “Only by mastering technology and attracting global talent can Vietnam’s semiconductor industry develop sustainably and avoid the pitfalls of simply following trends and seeking FDI for reporting purposes. “I can do it.” Twenty years ago, the world’s top chip companies received many incentives to come to Vietnam, but today, Vietnam’s chip industry has made great progress while other ASEAN countries have made great progress. has not been achieved. We look forward to fair support from ministries and local governments. ”
While Vietnam’s aspirations to develop its semiconductor industry are commendable, it still faces many challenges and requires a concerted effort towards a sustainable technology future for the country.
